Summer Travel Player Special(Ages 7+): 9:00am-12:00pm
Full Day Camp (Ages 7+): 9:00am-2:30pm

RBI Baseball Academy will be back at the Norwood Little League Complex for our 6th consecutive year from July 9th-13th. Camp weeks run Monday through Friday beginning at 9am and ending at 12pm (Head Start & Summer Travel Player campers only) or 2:30pm for full day campers.  The Head Start camp is for ages 5 & 6 only while the Travel Player and Full Day camps are for ages 7-12.  Norwood's Little League Complex served as host to the 2010 Massachusetts State Little League Finals in late July of 2010. The league and the town take great pride in their sports and their playing fields which makes this complex a top choice for a baseball camp. There are two (2) 46'x60' diamonds, two fenced-in batting cages as well as a multi-purpose area. Fields are groomed daily and covered dugouts allow players some time in the shade. RBI Baseball Camps are open to any player in the appropriate age range that is looking to improve his or her baseball skills. There are no minimum skill-level requirements to participate in an RBI program, just the right attitude and a desire to work hard!!!

Camp will include the following:

• Five days of top level instruction covering all baseball fundamentals.

• Daily baseball games and instructional drills.
  Experienced, professional staff with low participant to instructor ratio.

• Spacious outdoor complex with multiple fields. Indoor facilities available in event of inclement weather.

• FREE RBI Baseball Academy T-Shirt for each camper.

• Pro-Shop open daily.

Camp Staff
RBI Baseball Academy’s Summer Day Camp staff is hand picked to ensure the highest quality of instruction.  Our professional, caring staff is made up of current and former professional and college baseball players as well as current and former college and high school coaches.  Each staff member is committed to providing each participant with a safe, enjoyable experience while learning the best baseball techniques.  All Camp staff members have full CORI/SORI background checks by the state of Massachusetts.

Camp Director

Joe Breen Foxboro, Franklin, North Attleboro & Norwood Camp Director Joe Breen was a three-sport captain at Swampscott High School before going on to pitch for Coach Pat Boen at Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Joe was an integral part of Stonehill's on-field success as a starter and closer for the Skyhawks from 2002-2006 with the team making the Northeast-10's Final Four 3 of his 4 years including championship games in 2003 and 2005. As a team captain in 2006, Joe finished in the top 5 in Wins, Saves, Appearances, and ERA in Northeast-10 play while finishing with the 4th most appearances in Stonehill College baseball history After graduating with a degree in psychology, Coach Breen came on staff as an Assistant Coach at Stonehill where he worked with the pitchers and catchers as well as with recruiting efforts from Fall 2006 -Spring 2009. Joe is still active as a player for the Swampscott Sox in the North Shore Baseball League where he has been a starting pitcher since the summer of 2002. Coach Breen has served as the Director of Baseball Operations at RBI Baseball Academy since the fall of 2006 and is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association. Camp Registration Options

 

Head Start Summer Program (Ages 5-6): RBI's 'Head Start' Program is a weekly session for players ages 5-6 offered at all RBI day camp locations. In this program, players will learn the fundamentals of the game from professional coaches who combine both instruction and fun to help players understand the game better as well as grow their passion for the game in a "camp" environment. Each day, players will participate in drills to develop their individual baseball skills as well as play a live coach-pitch game. Each day runs from 9am-12pm and is perfect for the baseball enthusiast in your home. Summer Travel Team Player Special (Ages 7+): For the first time, RBI Baseball Academy is offering a special plan for those players playing on summer travel teams who are looking for a shorter camp day. The Summer Travel Ball circuit offers players a chance to play a competitve game schedule but doesn't allow for enough time dedicated to practicing and improving their individual skills. The RBI Summer Camps can offer these competitive players an opportunity to compliment their game schedules with daily instructional sessions to help better prepare them for their evening games. These sessions are designed to enhance the player's individual skills in all aspects of the game. This special is offered at all RBI day camp locations. Full Day Camp **Recommended** (Ages 7+): The 'Full Day Camp' option offers players ages 7+ a complete baseball camp experience including individual drills, team drills, live games, and recreational games. This includes 25+ hours of professional baseball instruction and supervision by some of the top coaches in the area. RBI's directors and coaching staff looks to provide not only a positive learning experience, but also a safe environment for each camper.

ENROLLMENT IS LIMITED. For Head Start program a deposit of $50 per person, per week is required for each camper to be registered. For Travel Player and Full Day programs a deposit of $100 per person, per week is required in order for each camper to be registered.

 

Cancellation / Insurance Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY The following cancellation policy applies to all campers unless the optional camp cancellation insurance is purchased. For further information, please see below. All deposits are non-refundable unless notification is received 30 days prior to camp start date. Any cancellation after this date will result in loss of camp deposit. CANCELLATION INSURANCE RBI Baseball Camps is pleased to offer the optional Camp Cancellation Insurance which can be purchased for $25 per participant, per week. This insurance allows campers complete reimbursement of all camp fees (excluding insurance premium) paid to RBI for any reason 5 days prior to camp start date. The following conditions apply: Cancellation Insurance MUST be purchased when registering camper. It CANNOT be added at a later date. All payment conditions must be met in order to receive reimbursement. The cost of the Cancellation Insurance itself will NOT be refunded. RBI must be notified of cancellation in writing or via facsimile 5 days prior to camp start date. Upon receipt, a camp cancellation notice will result in loss of participant's reservation. Refunds will NOT be issued once the camp begins. NO EXCEPTIONS.
